According to the maths of Dutch TV show Reporter, the Dutch government rakes in
400 million Euros tax a year from cannabis coffee shops. That's around $800 million Kiwi, just enough to cover the current cost of Cullen's train set EVERY YEAR. If one takes into account the 15 percent of New Zealanders who regularly partake, as well as the tourist magnet potential, there's every chance we could match or even beat Netherland's tax take.
